Meet Jim Mooney

Born & Bred in Pearland, Texas
Since 1962, Jim Mooney has been proud to call Brazoria County home. Jim graduated from Pearland High School, attended Sul Ross State University, and promptly returned to the only place he's ever called home.
Along that journey, Jim met his wife of 49 years. Together they built a life in Brazoria County, with two children, and three grandchildren.
Serving in the Community
Jim has always taken great pride in the community he calls home. That's why Jim has prioritized community service and civic duty throughout his life.
Today, Jim serves as an elected member of the Board of Commissioners for Brazoria County Drainage District 4. Outside of his endeavors in the private sector, Jim has in the past served as the City Administrator for the City of Manvel, Texas.
Additionally, Jim has the distinction of serving as a charter member of the Manvel Lions Club, has served as a Deacon at Pearland's Grand Street Church of Christ, the President of the FAA booster club, and as a substitute teacher in Pearland ISD classrooms.

"I have entered the 2022 race for Brazoria County Judge because I believe it is the best way to do my part. The elected leaders of Brazoria County must be proactive in confronting the challenges facing our community.
As Brazoria County Judge, I'll proactively address the most pressing challenges our county faces, both today and in the years to come - securing a sustainable supply of clean drinking water, access to high quality health care, attracting better job to our communities, providing voting access to all residents, and utilizing the most effective means to prevent crime."
